Bendigo Equine & Industry Cluster

A newly formed Bendigo Equine & Industry Cluster have recently received a $50,000 grant from the State Government to conduct a Scoping Study and Skills Audit.

The objective of the scoping study and skills audit is to provide strategic direction to the newly formed Bendigo Equine Industry Cluster.

The Scoping Study will focus on evaluating the economic contribution to the region, mapping a supply chain, seek possible projects ie: feed security, waste disposal and reuse, marketing and linkages to other equine regions.

The Skills Audit would aim to identify the range of skills that are required now and in the future in the  industry to ensure it remains viable  and can grow.

A Consulting firm has now been appointed.  The successful applicant is Nexus Consulting and the final plan is expected to be completed early in 2008.
